<p>Does anyone have experience with Transfers between boarding schools.</p>
<p>I just got into a school this year as a sophomore. I'm an international student with financial aid.</p>
<p>I've told my mother about my wish to transfer. (It's quite complicated. I didn't get into my 'dream school' where I feel I 'best fit' IMO because I treated the application process like a joke. Believe me, I'm not bitter just because I'm 'not good enough'. I'm just looking for a chance to really put effort into it and prove myself.)</p>
<p>My mother said he main concern was that my whole Boarding school would know and the teachers/administration would treat me with resentment and not write good recommendations or something. She's also worried my financial aid at my current school might be in jeopardy if I don't get into the school I wan't to apply to.</p>
<p>Is she overreacting? Because from the looks of it on this board, transferring isn't a big deal. My mother went to school in the Seventies and I guess she doesn't really see transferring as something 'normal' or 'acceptable' or something.</p>
<p>SO fellow ambitionadios, any advice?</p>
