I kinda messed up my first 2 semesters in college by not trying at all. I withdrew from one class my first semester then I withdrew four classes second semester. I realized that’s not the smartest thing to do, but I didn’t really care at the time. I just wanted to sleep 24/7(not really depressed(I think), I just liked sleeping). Anyways, my GPA is like a 3.58 with 17 credits. Lets say hypothetically I get 100s in all my classes which will be about 43 credits bringing my gpa to 3.88. What are the chances of successfully transferring to another college after those 60 credits. Would that college deny me based on those Ws on my record?
Went through a similar experience many years ago. I was surprised when a parent called, explained my home was gone and I never heard from the other parent for over a year. Sleep was my unavoidable escape and I never understood why until a few years later. In those days, college advising did not include “shrinks.”
Do you have faculty/advisors you respect and can confide with?
Transferring would be awkward at best and may not be the answer to your problem. You first need to identify the problem.
