Transferring Credits

There's something which I've been wondering about credit transfers from community college to university.

Let's say I had got a C grade for Math 1510. Now if I have this college credit transferred to university, will the C grade be reflected on my university transcript? If so, would I be better off just redoing Math 1510 if I had underperformed for that, at university level, because having the C will pull down my GPA?

Also, does my liberal arts GPA affect the GPA for my major?

Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!

Generally your GPA does not transfer over. For example, you had a 3.5 at CC, when you go to a new school, you get a new GPA. Strictly from a GPA standpoint, it wont affect you; however, you may have a better chance of getting into the school of your choice with a higher grade.
