Hi I'm a freshman at Michigan State University and I am interested in Transferring to Brown, Columbia, or Georgetown for the fall of 2013 or 2014. I am a mathematics major as of now, however, I think I'll be switching to a dual major in Philosophy and Physics. My main question is should I apply for the 2013 or 2014 transfer admissions cycle. I'm not too happy here at Michigan State, but i'm willing to hold out if it will improve my transfer chances.

I had a 3.5 GPA in high school (2.7 freshman, 3.5 junior, 3.9~ junior and senior) and a 30 ACT. As of now I'll either have a 4. or 3.9 my first semester in college. If I apply for the fall of '13 I feel like my high school academic record could still be the most important aspect of my application, while if I applied next year it would fade out a bit. What do you all think?

I Feel like my extracurriculars stand out a bit, so hopefully i'll have a chance at these schools. I started a brick and mortar computer company in high school and am currently doing research in Biophysics.
