Transferring from AU-Beirut/Paris/Dubai?

I’m interested in knowing about students who transferred to AU in Washington from any of these universities. I’d really appreciate ANY input on this matter. Thank you!

i’m not sure but it seems like you think that they are affilated with each other. Up untill i visted the school i thought that too. it turns out there is absloultey no connection between the AU’s in other countries.

Well, I was reading [American University of Sharjah - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](American University of Sharjah - Wikipedia) , and it mentioned here that Although, like most other “American Universities,” it is not a branch of the American University in Washington, DC, USA, it does have a close affiliation with that school. Both institutions are linked by a five year contract recently renewed until 2009

Similarly, in [American University of Sharjah](Account Suspended) , it is mentioned that **American Connection

AUS Affiliation with AU Washington: The American University of Sharjah and the American University in Washington, D.C. have signed an agreement establishing a “significant, mutual and cooperative affiliation.”

American University in Washington is an independent, private university comprised of six colleges: international service, public administration, communication, business, arts and sciences and law. The enrollment at AU of undergraduate and graduate students is 11,300.

Under this comprehensive partnership agreement, AU Washington agreed to provide the senior management personnel for AUS. The contract also calls for AU to certify the equivalency of AUS courses with those same courses as they are offered at AU. This ensures the transferability of credits by students in good standing. The agreement also provides for exchanges of students and faculty both in summer sessions and during the regular academic year.

American University’s President, Dr. Benjamin Ladner, said that the agreement “brings tremendous opportunities for the two institutions. In the current era of globalization of economies, politics and cultures, students from American University and from the American University of Sharjah will benefit from the many possibilities of exchange and exploration afforded by this joint enterprise. The faculties of both institutions will similarly be able to take advantage of the rich potential for joint research and study in two of the world’s most vibrant regions.”**

I’m just telling you what the unviersity told me as i asked the same question.
and they said absloutely not.

Oh, okaay. Thanks… :)
