I'm planning on transferring from a junior college to a four year university next fall and trying to gauge my chances. Here are my credentials at my current school:

-GPA: 3.4 - 3.5 (I haven't gotten grades back yet)
-SATs: retaking them, planning on getting at least a 2000
-Ample letters of recommendation
-Volunteer work
-No EC's, but I have been working at the same job for over a year (I've been told this will help me out.)
-I've won two small scholarships (I've been told this will help me out)
-I plan on writing a stellar essay. (I'm adept at writing and have two academic advisors helping me.)

So, what are my chances for UMass Amherst, keeping in mind that my father is an alumnus?

Also, if anyone knows, what are my chances for the University of Vermont?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out. Sorry about the crappy writing in this post, I'm very tired.

This is crossposted.
