Transferring from Ithaca College

Simplified story: I am a high school senior. When I was applying to colleges, I let my (well-intentioned) mother convince me to major in journalism and applied to good schools for communications studies. However, I realized after the application process was complete that I really want to major in Art History. Oops.

I've decided to go to Ithaca College, since I like the town, the school, and the $18k/year scholarship they've offered me. I figure that if I am not successful in transferring, I will still be happy at Ithaca (bonus: students can take classes at Cornell through IC).

I want to transfer to either Williams College, Brown University, or Columbia University, since those schools offer wonderful opportunities for those majoring in Art History; as well, they would provide an academic challenge that is more "my speed."

Does anyone have any advice they could offer me regarding the transfer process, or am I overthinking something that's over a year away?
