Any insight to this? How hard would it be to say transfer from a Math/CompSci major from LAS to CompSci in the Engineering School?

Depends, what's your GPA? Unless of course, you haven't entered the university yet and are just curious. In that case, not terribly difficult if you have a good GPA since engineering is easier to transfer into than business (the retention rate in engineering is lower.) I'd say with a good GPA and if you show an interest in engineering-related courses, you should have a good shot.

yeah im not in the school, im applying to the LAS school for math/compsci and if i get in im planning on meeting the requirements to transfer into the engineering school which i wont be able to get into from high school. thanks for the info, gives me a little peace of mind

Sounds like a very smart plan. Good luck :)

thanks - now i just need to get into the LAS school .. ughh

GPA is the hard part. Many of my friends who tried switching to engineering gave up after taking the physics courses. I would suggest that you really be cautious when selecting courses for various semesters (don't overload yourself with difficult classes). One bad semester might blow your chances away from transferring into engineering college.

its okay im EXTREMELY bright and my current hs situation is only due to circumstance..i used to be in the running for princeton..sigh..and im a math/science/computers guy - i love physics :D

thanks for the advice though definitely something ill keep in mind
