Hey guys!

I'm a sophomore at Occidental College and thinking about transferring. I am interested in Journalism and Business, particularly marketing and management. I would love to be in the sports industry. Occidental does not have a business program, and I already took an economics class and hated it. Occidental only has two journalism classes and I've already taken them both. I'm just not sure if it's worth it to major in something I am not passionate about. I am taking sociology and politics classes to see if it something that could appeal to me.

1st semester of Freshman year I got a 2.5 GPA.
2nd semester of Freshman year I got a 3.4 GPA.
1st semester of Sophomore year I got a 4.0 GPA.

I know my first semester is horrible, but I've stepped up to the plate and taken my academics a lot more seriously.

I have been playing number one on the men's tennis team since I came to the team Freshman year.

I am a member of the Sports Industry and Law club and I am a writer for the Oxy Weekly, a student run newspaper.

I was wondering what you thought my chances would be on transferring to UCLA, USC, Berkeley and Georgetown were?

I attended a sports industry management summer course my Junior year in high school at Georgetown if that helps at all.

In high school I had a 3.7 unweighted GPA and a 4.3 weighted GPA. My ACT score was a 28.

I was accepted out of high school into NYU, Brandeis, Occidental, Pitzer, and Carleton. I was weight listed at Johns Hopkins.

Does anyone have any insight and could give me a rough estimate if I could get in to any of those schools by transferring after sophomore year?

Thanks!
