Transferring from SJSU to Cal Poly SLO (CS or SE)

Hi everyone,

I am currently a CS student at SJSU and was wondering if anyone knows what can be transferred from SJSU to Cal Poly Slo. I checked the articulation agreement between SJSU and Cal Poly Slo for my major on the SJSU site and saw that none of my core math courses would transfer over despite having similar, if not exact descriptions. Main reason for wanting to transfer is because I am not enjoying the environment at this school.

Sorry your not liking the environment at SJSU. In general it’s extremely difficult to transfer from one CSU to another; particularly for a competitive major like CS. A strong preference is given to JC transfers. This is true for the UCs as well.

I’d call the CP admissions office for advice as to your chances going from CSU to CSU.
