I'm currently a Freshman, and I'm wondering about people transferring from San Jose State University, or any CSU, to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I absolutely hate SJSU right now. I'm a commuter, the school is dried up, and it wasn't even close to my choice of school. Cal Poly was one of my top picks, and my SAT score was pretty low, and I think that's a huge reason on why I got rejected. Anyways, I looked at the pre-reqs and I mapped out my class schedule for this semester and next year to complete them for Cal Poly. I'm a Business major with a concentration in Corporate Finance. I got a 3.9 GPA for the first semester. I know I won't get anything lower than a 3.5 GPA when I apply for Cal Poly. From what I've seen on the website, my chances don't look too good for being admitted.

Cal Poly is just tough to transfer into. Most CSUs fill up with CCC transfer students first by state mandate, but I don’t know if Cal Poly is held to that same standard so ask around to see if you are a disadvantage because of being a CSU to CSU transfer student.

I would definitely look for other transfer options to add besides Cal Poly.
