Transferring from SUNY Geneseo to NYU

I've been accepted to Geneseo for fall 2009 and im planning to transfer out to the city at my 3rd year. The reason for the 3rd is because upon judgement they'll not look at the SATS anymore rather only your college's grades. Also, for the ones that do not know Geneseo, Geneseo's a public state universitiy located upstate of New York and is known as top suny along with Binghamton. That's besides the point; i have a few questions. How rigorous is NYU or even NYU Sterns? Any estimated GPA I'll need to transfer? As being an Accounting major, if you were in my shoes would you bother on transfering?

First of all, if you want to go to a school, you should at LEAST get the name right. It is NYU Stern, NOT NYU Sterns. Getting accepted as a transfer student at Stern is almost impossible without a near perfect GPA. You would have a better chance at transferring into CAS at NYU rather than Stern. They only accept about 100 to 150 people depending on how many people transfer out. Here is the bare minimum:

3.8+ GPA
Club member with leadership postions
Internships over the summer.

Getting into Stern is very hard normally for high school students, but as a transfer it is a true crapshoot determining who gets in.
