Transferring from UCR to UCB

Hey guys, I was hoping I could get some insight. I have some anxiety for my application. I am a UC Riverside student, political science major, and am applying to transfer to UC Berkeley. Here are some stats, maybe you could tell me if I have a chance:

3.6 GPA

Part time job that takes most of my day, so no EC

Online writing and tutoring job on the side

Took 3 UCB summer sessions

No failed classes, no C's.

Excellent essays/personal statements, I worked with my lawyer/writing buddy on them that goes to UCB's law school.

Financial difficulty. I mentioned Berkeley, and how living there could alleviate my problems bc I could live with my parents

Do I have a shot?

How many major classes have you completed? How many of UCB’s specific prereqs an upper divs have you completed?

I will finish all pol sci lower div requirements by the end of spring quarter

bumpppppppppppppp

you can run tables at the UC Statfinder website; when I did so for the year 2009, for students transferring from other UC campuses into the Social Sciences they did not accept anyone with a GPA of 3.4 or below. They don’t break down the applicants above that, other than to note they had 228 applicants and 31 offers of admission.

You can make your own tables at [University of California: StatFinder](http://statfinder.ucop.edu/statfinder/default.aspx) The kind you want is under the tab for “Custom Tables”

thanks a lot it helped :D
