Transferring from USC to Stanford, is new SAT score required?

Hi.

I am a junior student at USC, studying mechanical engineering.
I am considering about transferring to Stanford for mechanical engineering major. But I see that we need to submit the SAT scores to the application and honestly, I do not have a good high school SAT scores. Do you think should I retake the SAT exam? Honestly, I am not confident about getting a good high score.

High school
Non-Weighted: 3.97, Weighted: 4.25
SAT was: 1910
Reading 570, Math 760, Writing 580
SAT II: US History: 760, Chemistry: 750, Math IIC: 800

College
Cumulative GPA:3.77/ Major GPA: 3.89
Research experience
Work-study in Electrical Engineering Lab
President of a student organization
Participating in Outdoor Activity on campus

Comparatively, I have good college standings than I was in high school. I hope this can cover up some my low scores on SAT scores. Do you think I need to retake it? and if I need to, SAT again or ACT??

Also, about the recommendations from professors. I know one college professor from Virginia Tech who is really famous in United States. (Quite famous that he is on TV show) Do you think I can turn in a recommendation from him? Although he is not a faculty from my school, he has known me about a year. Please give me some suggestion on this.

Thank you to all.

Yes, if you are serious about attempting transfer to Stanford, retake the SAT. However, do note their transfer rate is about 2% at best–so you have a 98% chance at being rejected. Even if you manage a perfect SAT in your retake.
