Transferring From UT online program into Engineering

Hi guys

Actually no about me, but a friend of mine. He was curious to see if he can take online classes from UT Austin, and then transfer to Cockrell school of engineering after he has meet all the Requirements. Sounds like a crazy idea (it is to me) but he was wondering if that is even possible. His intended major is Computer engineering. would that also remove the OOS Tuition fee?

Here is the Link to UT Online program

and here
I don’t know which one to pick (since both of us don’t live in Texas) I’m guessing External?

Actually, I thought it was a pretty creative idea but I don’t think it will work. By taking these courses, he has not been admitted to UT so it definitely would be an External admittance. To be admitted, you need to have taken physics 303 and math 408 which are not offered as far as I can tell. Also, beware of the Texas govt class. My DD took it this summer to get rid of a GE but it turns out to only be a 1 hr credit and she needs 3 for Texas govt. She will be taking it again next semester.
