Transferring Help

I'm a freshman physics major at Syracuse University in New York and I would love to transfer to another school. I’m thinking of applying to Caltech, Stanford, Harvard, Cornell, and Brown. It’d be nice to know if I stand a chance at getting in to these schools.

After one year of college I have a 3.86 GPA. I've taken a lot of math and physics classes, and each one I took I got an A in. This summer I did cosmology research with a professor who's one of the top in his field. In high school I got a 1420 on the SAT and an average of 97 (my school didn't use a 4-point scale), and took lots of AP classes. I have one semester to complete before mailing in my transfer application, so things could change. If I get around a 3.8 or better this semester, and perhaps find a way to do a club or to volunteer or something, what are my chances?

Thanks alot.

Volunteer more it will humanize you! You have really great numbers.

every school you listed is a reach. you'll have a good chance if you can distinguish yourself from the other applicants since everybody has grades like yours. make yourself stand out.
