Hello everyone, first time poster here.
I was admitted into UCLA, Davis, and SB–rejected from Berkeley 
I’m not sure where I should go. I have decided against SB, but I’m torn between LA and Davis. I like both areas but I don’t really have any preference. I was originally leaning LA just because of its associated “prestige”, but I recently found out that my UC Davis financial aid package could potentially cover most of my costs. At LA, it looks like I will have to take out 8k in loans to cover tuition, housing, and fees–with work study factored in–but at UC Davis, I will only have to take out 4K in loans, and they have yet to factor in work study money. I think the Davis website said they would announce work study info in June.
With all that said, it really boils down to this: should I take the larger aid package, or admission at a more “prestigious” university.
I hope to go to grad school after I finish, so I’m not sure if I’d be in a better position applying from LA, or applying with less debt.
