Transferring in as an English or philosophy major?

I am in my final 20-or-so credits at a Florida community college and preparing for transfer. How difficult is it to transfer into these majors in CLAS, respectively? I anticipate graduating with at least a 3.8 (have a cumulative 4.0 currently) and requirements met for whichever I ultimately choose.

While other Florida schools are basically guaranteed for CC transfer liberal arts majors, UF seems untouchable and like there is no possible way to get in.

If I continue to a Florida university, I would really like for it to be UF. What attracts me to UF is the focused intellectual culture (it is, foremost, a research university) and emphasis on student community, with campus being the heart-of-life in Gainesville. UF seems to be a community that loves to learn for the sake of learning with a student organization selection that is incredible (academic comic, art law, mycology enthusiast clubs, PRINTMAKING GUILD!) yet also accessible. I also appreciate that it houses a reputable law school and has that angle to law school advising. I’d enter as a junior anyway and, all else equal, may regret not experiencing the whole flagship thing in favor of a commercial commuter “college village” with an atomized student body, like that of UCF, FIU, or USF. Plus I’m a huge outdoors fanatic/lover of landscape painting and adore the natural life and landmarks of Gainesville/Micanopy!!

Thank you!

UF is not impossible to get into. CLAS makes their admission requirements clear. https://www.advising.ufl.edu/admissions/transfer-admissions

Good luck ?
