Transferring in from CC.

<p>My brother currently has his sights set on SMU as a transfer student.
I saw that SMU has about a 68% acceptance rate for transfers. I want to get a feel for how competitive it is, or how hard it will be for him.
My parents have made me sort of tutor him on getting his apps together -____-</p>

<p>When he sends in his app in the spring he'll have about a 3.5-3.6 maybe even 3.7.
With about 20 hours taken (not including the spring classes he'll be in at the time of app).
Anyone that transferred into SMU can you give some insight as to what your GPS etc was like. Would you suggest transferring after just one year? Short of the 50 hour requirement for transfer scholarships...</p>

<p>^I think maybe few people in your “audience” here know much about transfer students. Isn’t there a Transfer Student forum? Maybe if you look at Discussion Home and scroll down, you’ll find one. Sorry that I’m unable to help! :slight_smile: And good luck!</p>
