Transferring mid year(high school student) HELP!

Background: I’m a freshman in highschool and the second semester just began (3 weeks in I believe). First semester, I did well- I got straight A’s and achieved my goal of a 4.0 G.P.A. But as the semester came to an end, problems at home began to arise. Now, I’ve always had issues at home but since high school started, things have only gotten worse. I’m not going to get deep into it but I have an emotionally abusive mother. My dad lives in Texas where he has lived for several years, and I am now moving with him. I’m really excited but also very scared. I was presented the opportunity to move the end of first semester, and once my mom heard about it, life at home became even more stressful. I was able to end the year off well(grades wise), but when second semester began, my grades took a toll. I felt a lack of motivation because I was so caught up in everything going on at home. I went from a straight A student to a 2 B, 3 A, and 1 C- student. I’ve never had grades this bad and it’s causing me anxiety.
Question 1: I’m transferring mid-year from the California school system to the Texas school system. Now, I don’t know how big a change that’ll be for me, does anyone know what I should expect?
Question 2: Do the schools need my current grades and will they show up in the record??

Thanks!
