Hi guys,
current sophomore at NYU film here...

I guess I should start by saying that I love it here. The education, the opportunities, the faculty are all excellent. Already I have a great internship and have met great people that I like to work with.

The part that sucks is that I can't afford it anymore.
I don't need to talk about that here too much, but basically this wasn't the case back when I applied (NYU is the only school I applied to) and as an international student, I won't be getting aid from NYU.

I've always hovered around a 3.7-3.8 GPA and I expect pretty good recommendations (I have a very good relationship my professors- one in particular- and my boss). My SATs weren't exactly ivy league caliber, but I don't think 2110 is too bad for a film student.

But this isn't one of those "chance me" threads. I'll probably apply whether or not some strangers on the internet think I'm worthy or not. I just want to know- because so many of my classes will probably not be transferrable- if its possible to try to transfer to transfer from a BFA curriculum to a BA. As in, will they even look at my application?

I just want to apply to some schools- some prestigious, some not so prestigious- and way out my financial options that way. Have any of you taken this route before?

Thanks in advance guys. And if you have any recommendations as to which schools you know have given scholarships/aid to international students, I would love to hear.

P.S Should I retake my SATs? Would I look like I'm trying too hard if I do?

Cheers,
fvnout
