Hey, I am a current boarding school student and do not like my school. Does anyone know if transferring between schools is possible, and if it is likely? Thanks

Happens all the time but you’ll need to get going on your applications. The likelihood of acceptance depend on your stats, the school to which you’re applying and the grade you’re entering.

One of my DC’s closest friends at Loomis transferred to Choate this year.

Thanks for the replies. I’m looking into Lawrence Academy, Cushing, Gov’s, Milton, and thinking about another. Any info on those schools would be awesome

My children have friends at 3 out of 4 of these schools. I’d be happy to comment on them but it might be helpful if you tell us what you’re looking for in a school. How did you pick the 5 on your list? What is it you don’t like about your current school?

If you are brand new BS student, I will say that it’s less than a month that you’ve been at your school. I would give it a little more time to see if the things you don’t like turn around…or if you discover new things to throw yourself into at your school.

I am a day student at Milton Academy and I would be happy to answer any questions that you might have!
