Hello There,
My name is Jeff, and I am a current High School Senior in CA.

I made the decision to transfer from my small charter school to my local high school for my senior year.

Wow. It was like a cold hard slap in the face.
I am failing almost all of my classes.
I currently have a 3.6 GPA Unweighted and a 4.0 GPA Weighted, and I'm afraid to tarnish that at my new school.

Now, my old school keeps on calling me, asking me to come back because, apparently "I dont have that good of a reason to have transferred" and "It will raise a red flag for college admissions". On the other hand, my college admissions officer at my local high school says that "an A here will go further than an A at my other school". I am super scared of this.

For the sake of College, should I transfer or should I stay at my current local high school? I want to go to The University of Illinois or The University of Michigan

Here are some more details:

Pros of going to Charter School
-The opportunity study abroad in Guatemala
-Hot girls
-Rigorous courses (I would take AP Government, AP Calculus AB, AP English Literature and AP Enviromental Science)
-Easier to get As vs. my local High School
-Good reputation at that school; small community

Cons of going to Charter School
-Some Online Learning
-3 Miles down the road (But I can take Public Transportation to school)
-Starts at 8:15 every day and gets out at 3:20
-Revisions

Pros of going to Local high school
-More Clubs (like Robotics and Quiz Bowl)
-Homework (There was no set homework at my charter high school)
-1 mile down the road
-Starts at 8:30 normally (7:50 for me now because I have to make up a missed class) and, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:25 wake up time (I get that wake up time on Wednesday)
-Normal High School Experience (Prom, Homecoming, Winter Formal)
-Old Buddies
-Funny Teachers
-Better Lunches

Cons of going to Local High School
-Very Hard
-Sometimes, I feel isolated
-Somewhat rigorous courses (AP Calculus AB, AP Biology, American Government, English 4 and Double PE)
-Exhausted every day after school (Due to double PE and the mile walk home)
-Failing right now
-A slap of reality (like a Junior College)
-Mean AP Biology partner (Did partner project by herself, citing that my work quality was not as good as hers)
