I am currently a freshman at the State University of New York at Geneseo, (about 2 hours directly west of Cornell) and I would love more than anything to transfer there. I was planning on waiting until after my sophomore year to transfer, to make sure any prerequisites I would need are finished, and enter Cornell as a junior. My grades here at Geneseo are really great so far, as I have all A's and one class that I literally have a 100% in. As I have done some research into transferring to Cornell, I figure that if i continue to do well here, and continue to actively be involved in extra curricular activities (I have been tutoring young kids in inner city Rochester schools, will be studying abroad, and will be a teaching assistant next year) I have a great chance at being accepted at Cornell. If anyone can give me information that I am missing, if there is anything I may need to worry about, or any other sort of input about my ambitions please let me know!

How hard is the courses you take ?

Honestly, they are not much of a challenge for me currently, as a freshman here I had the lowest priority when registering for classes, so I really did not have much of a choice about what I am taking (not to make up an excuse). The courses I am taking currently are solely to satisfy Gen Ed requirements. Two anthropology courses at the introductory level, an Asian Theatre course (at the 200 level) and a reasoning course, Logic. I should also note that first semester freshman here at Geneseo can only take four classes (12 credits), so it is not at all a very challenging challenging course load. Next semester I will take some more difficult courses, probably Introductory Arabic, a Biology course, Calculus I, and just generally a step up from what I am doing now.
