bump/…???

Am not sure about the assured housing but CUNY’s are mainly full of commuter students. I know this because I go to school within the CUNY system.

Am not trying to discourage you from applying, but can you afford to live in NYC? And when I mean live, I don’t mean just housing, transportation, food, medical insurance, spending money etc.?

that’s why I’m going to a CHEAP school in the city. I’m planning to do the on-campus stuff and get a 2nd job if I have to .

According to Lehman College website in the FAQ section:

Q: How much will I pay per month?
A: Depending on which room you choose will depend on your monthly rate. The rates are as follows:

Double Occupancy - $687 (per resident, per month), which translates to $8,085 annually
Single Occupancy- $765 (per month), which translates to $9,003 annually
LARGE Single Occupancy- $817 (per month), which translates to $9,615annually

[Lehman College - The Division of Student Affairs: Student Housing](http://www.lehman.edu/student-affairs/student-housing.php)

Is this affordable for you?

BTW if you are gonna be a full time student finding work in NYC will be VERY hard. The main jobs you will get are retail or fastfood but you may not get hired because jobs like this want people who are either available long hours or available in the day. If you do get a job that coincides with your schedule then taxes will murder your minimum wage pay check. But if you think you can juggle both, good luck(not being sarcastic). I went to school with students that worked and went to school and guess what happened to them??? Some fell asleep in class and did poorly so they dropped the course while others chosed their job over school.

It would have been easier if you were instate, because along w/ fin-aid you would recieve money from NY State TAP to go to school.

That’s very… encouraging from you.
I’m determined to make it there and I’m about set with a job, I have people in the city (:
