Hi, I was just wondering if there were any other transfers out there who will be attending Davidson in the Fall of 2007.

what were your stats if you don't mind me asking? I'm probably going to be applying for transfer admission next year and I'm curious.

I will send you a PM with my stats, but don't care to list specific standardized test scores.

Hi, I just wanted to see if there was anyone who was either a transfer or personally knew transfer students currently at Davidson. I would really like to know what the experience was like for a transfer at DC. For example, do the transfer students at Davidson spend a lot of time with each other, or does this vary? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Hey; my name is Katherine and I transferred from University of Southern California to Davidson last winter. So far I love Davidson and I'm eager to see what fall semester is like since I missed it last year! I'll only be a sophomore though, so I think my experience will be different from yours b/c I was still a freshman and was integrated more w/ the freshman students than the transfer ones. It's a small group of transfers, everyone is nice too. All transfers have the same advisor who is...... a very bizarre man. But I really like it here and I'm sure you'll have a great experience! Where are you transferring from?

kaatdc, how do you compare the academics and the workload between the two schools, and if you don't mind, why the rather radical switch? Did you also consider transferring to any of the claremonts?

hey; I decided I wanted a small school b/c USC was too big, and USC was more superficial than anticipated (but I still enjoyed aspects of it...) I'm from Atlanta, GA, and Davidson took midyear transfers (but the claremont schools don't.) Plus, the only claremont I was interested in was pomona and it was impossible to transfer into.

Hey Katherine; I will be transferring from James Madison Univ. It is about 16,000 undergraduates, so I too am looking forward to Davidson b/c of the smaller size and overall closer atmosphere. Oh, I do have one more question kat: I just received the courses that will be transferring to Davidson from JMU and noticed that the majority of courses were numbered 199 and 199c as general reqs for graduation. Did you try to get the numbers changed so that they were exactly compatible with the ones that Davidson offered (even if it was only 1 semeser's worth) - if you had the same situation. Thanks so much for replying back and for all of your insight; maybe we can meet when I arrive on campus in August. By the way, my name is Kevin, and I will also be a sophomore.

kat, can you compare academics, workload, grading scale for me please?
