Transferring to East Coast college?

Hello! I am a first year at a California State University. And many factors are convincing me to travel to the east coast for my second half of my college career. I know it is still early, because I am still in my 2nd semester of my first year... But it would help greatly if I can know my choices. Of course, I used the college search engine on this website, but I think I would like information from human sources!

I had a 3.4 GPA in high school. A 1550 SAT score. And I have earned a 3.8 my first year, first semester in college. I am a Computer Science major and have been studying several programming languages for over 2 years. I am also from a low income family and would like to know the schools offering great financial aid. I am at a state college that I did not want to exactly attend but it was highly suggested because of financial aid. But, after learning more about the college life, I know that many colleges could offer me money to allow me to attend their institution as long as I work hard enough and gather enough information. Also, I've always wanted to go to the east coast! Could anyone offer any good east coast schools that would benefit me or fit me knowing those conditions?

,

Why are you wanting to leave CSU? If it’s just for the chance to travel, I’d recommend putting that off for a couple of years and trying to find a job in the east after graduation. Being from a low-income family, I’m concerned about your ability to afford a transfer. For one, you’ll likely take an extra year to graduate because a lot of your credit may not transfer to core or major requirements at the new school. If your family is on the west coast, the travel expenses to and from college on the east coast will not be cheap. Finally, while you have a very commendable college GPA, there typically is not a ton of aid made available to transfer students (though I’m sure that varies by college).
