How difficult will it be to be accepted into the Apparel Merchandising program?
I've never been book smart, I have about a 2.9 GPA right now with 2 full semesters and 2 summer semesters left at HCC.
But I've been working as a professional designer since 2012, a fashion marketing/business/promoter intern for an alternative fashion company for 6 months, and now as a permanent designers/marketer/business/promoter for the same company.
I'm wondering how slim my chances will be in getting in the program? Will a strong resume and professional background help my transfer?
I also wonder if my previous highschool (graduated 2012) transcript will assist? I graduated with a 3.8 out of 4.0, and a 4.5 out of 5.0 weighed. Was in the top 5%, graduated 12th.

You should be an auto admit transfer to UT if you complete your community college’s core curriculum. http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/transfer/before/automatic-admission

But, I think your major is in CNS at UT, and they prefer at least calculus or stats and two lab science courses for transfer admission. Also, the average GPA for CNS transfer admits is around 3.7. You probably will need to transfer into COLA and then try an internal transfer after two semesters.

Good luck, and Hook’em!
