Transferring To Montclair

I have a 2.9 GPA and I am attending a community college at the moment. I have over 40 credits and at the end of this Spring semester I should have around 53. I plan on transferring to Montclair in the fall.

I am wondering if a 2.9 GPA is good enough to get accepted into the school. I plan on majoring in Business(Conc. in Management) and on the page it says a 3.0 minimum. I am wondering if they may accept me since I am extremely close to a 3.0, or is it a automatic denial? I am also taking classes this semester which should improve my GPA, but will that even matter since I have to send my application in before the semester ends.

I also have a 1410 SAT score but I read that if you have over 30 credits you don't need to send highschool transcripts or SAT scores.

Thanks.

If you have above a 3.0 by the end of semester you will get in. I got accepted from my community college, my gpa was 3.1 almost 3.2.

basically what the form says is that if you have above a 3.0 you’re guaranteed admission. That doesn’t mean that anyone who has a gpa below gets automatically denied, it just means they will take more time considering you. A 2.9 is very close and you can easily bring it up a tenth of point.
