Hi I am currently a freshman at the University of Cincinatti in my first college quarter. But, after the fall quarter I am apllying to transfer to Ohio State. I looked up that OSU looks at your high school gpa, act scores, and college gpa if you are tranfering with less then 40 credit hrs which I am. So, I was wondering if a 3.0 gpa in high school, a 22 on the ACT, and about a 3.2/3.3 fall quarter college gpa would be enough to allow admision into OSU?

Frankly with that GPA and ACT I really doubt it - your ACT is well under the 25%ile for admitted students and 89% were in the top 1/4 of their class. You might be better off waiting until you get your college credits under your belt first. You might find you really like UC which has an awesome coop program for engineering.

Why are you transferring so soon?

I don’t think you’d be accepted to OSU.

BTW…do you get financial aid at UC? If so, you might not get as much aid as a transfer.

Regardless of admission standards, it might be complicated for you to transfer to OSU in the middle of the year. One of my friends did the same thing and had a hard time adjusting, so I would recommend waiting until sophomore year to transfer.

Hi guys! I myself am hoping to transfer to Ohio State from the University of Cincinnati by next fall. I attended a community college in high school and accumulated a GPA of About 2.3 (not too good-I know, but I successfully got in to the undergrad schools to which I applied). My ACT score was a 26, I was in the top 25% of my high school’s graduating class, and I’ve accumulated a GPA of about 3.4 here at UC. I was/am involved with each school I attended through clubs and organizations.

What do you suppose my chances are at getting into OSU for next fall?
