I have been in my community college for about a semester now going on the second. I have only finished 6 units because it is almost impossible to get classes in my local community college. I wonder if anybody on this site can give me some tips and advice on how to get into Pepperdine University. This has been a life long dream of mine and I hope that this dream is not too farfetched. I did not do great in High School, just did enough to get my high school diploma. I spoke with an admissions rep at Pepperdine and they told me in brief words that I must have completed a minimum of 30 units. The rep did not specify whether there is a minimum GPA or if there any other requirements. I have so many questions and it would take me all day to write them all down. If you have any important or useful advice about what steps to take to get admitted to Pepperdine, I encourage you to post below. Thank you in advance.

I just received my “you’re accepted and owe us $750” email for Pepperdine for Math/CompSci as a transfer student. My high school grades were abysmal and only had a little over 30 credits completed at time of application in college. Granted, my GPA in college was a 3.7, a significant improvement from my high school record. I’m also in the Marine Corps, so my leadership roles are up the ass in every respect. So if you could do some honors courses in colleges, get as many A’s as you can, participate in lots of community service (especially since it’s a Christian school and community service is the “christian” thing to do), and become active as a leader in those services along with other activities, you should be set. I didn’t report any SATs cuz they were poor, hahaha. I also requested not be evaluated for my high school record and had some pretty awesome sources for letters of recommendation (calc teacher, physics teacher, and captain in the Marine Corps). Essays are very important too. Took me over a month to perfect it and didn’t submit my application until the deadline. Get it revised by a good English teacher at your college. So suck up to your English teacher when you take English.
