Hey, I’m transferring from a 2yr CCC to a possible UC as a junior, and I was wondering if anyone had solutions for losing syllabi ( for CCC courses to showcase that your preqs were on par). For example: UCSD requires CCC syllabi, so you can skip the freshman/lower division courses if your CCC meets their standards… especially if your CCC doesn’t have an agreement/TAP with UCs.
My CCC has course outlines online at all times and I feel like they meet the information UCs require, but they are non-teacher specific. ex: https://portal.santarosa.edu/SRweb/SR_CourseOutlines.aspx (they have descriptions, course content, intentions/objectives, assignments, grading, and student outcomes)
Has anyone used general course outlines or any other method & did you succeed in skipping lower division work?
Does http://www.assist.org show equivalence?
@ucbalumnus Yes, some of the prereqs for lower division do show up in assist between my ccc and intended UC. I finished IGETC, a few AA/AS, and the prereqs for my major. There’s no TAG between the schools, so the prereqs aren’t fully agreed upon.
