I know that I have like 0% of transferring to UCI based on my stats but after talking to my Academic counselor I just have a few questions because she said it isn’t entirely impossible.
I did terrible my first quarter (like 0.61 GPA) and this quarter I tried really hard and I think my GPA will go up to around 1.7.
I’m a freshman currently and if I do get all As next quarter too, my counselor said I can raise it to 2.8.
If I continue this until the end of sophomore year, do you think I have at least a small chance of transferring to UCI?
If I continue this I think by the end of sophomore year I can have at least a 3.5 (if I try really hard).
I am thinking of finishing my remaining breadth courses at CC if I can’t finish them in time.
My major is in the arts so it isn’t a competitive one like business or engineering or etc.
Do you think it is still impossible?
Here is a link where you can look up UC Transfer GPA admit range by campus and major. This is from 2017 and the new stats should be out for the 2018 class around this time next year. Yes it is possible, just try your best and keep your options open.
