Transferring to UCLA

I am currently a sophomore at a community college in New york city. When I first started college, I had no idea what I was doing. I was indecisive between two career paths and I ended up a liberal arts major. I did terrible my first semester due to stress and a downward spiral into depression. I didn’t fail anything though, my lowest grade is a C+. I am now on my last year with a GPA of 2.5 (I still havent started this last semester so if i pass everything with straight A’s, I’d make it to 3.0 apparently)

Recently I finally made up my mind on what I am going to do with my life and I want to do it in UCLA. The problem is my grades. What is the lowest GPA one could have to get into UCLA?

What is your major? Can you afford the costs $55K/year? In-state CC applicants are given priority so being OOS with a low GPA does not bode well for your chances. Here is a link to the transfer GPA for each major to give you an idea of your chances.:

UCLA requires a minimum of 3.2 GPA for transfer students, and transfer admission preferences go to students of California Community Colleges. http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Prospect/Adm_tr/tradms.htm

Average GPA transfer profile is about 3.5 for transfers. $55K per year with no financial aid and costs increases of 8% to non-resident applicants.
