Transferring to UC's with more than 90 semester units?

Hello, I went to a 4 year school for 1.5 years as a dance major. Most of the classes were dance classes bc this school has no general education requirements. Now I live in CA have been fulfilling IGETC which I will be done with this semester and I want to apply to various UC's I am noticing all of the websites say that I wont be admitted if I have more than 90 units which I do. Does anyone know if this is a hard and fast rule?

I really appreciate KNOWLEDGEABLE experienced feedback. Thank you!!!!!!!!

Best, Carenna
