Transferring to UCSB in the Fall, what are the best campus-owned apartments?

So I'm transferring to UCSB this coming fall quarter, and based on the contract I've chosen I have two choices for apartments in IV. Santa Ynez and Westwinds. Which of the two should I choose?

At either one I'll be living with at least 3 other people maybe 4 others not including myself. I've checked out Santa Ynez and they're really beautiful, didn't get a chance to head out to Westwinds. Things that are important to me are: number 1 and above all the social aspect of it, I want to make a lot of friends, be able to party, and of course meet cute girls. Number 2 is the type of furnishings whether or not I'll have a desk to be able to study, and number 3 the proximity to the school and/or libraries so I can get away from the party scene when I have exams to study for.

Right now I've got my heart set on Santa Ynez but I feel like Westwinds deserves a fair chance because I haven't even seen it so I can't just write it of. Also I'm not sure if Santa Ynez will have room for me.
