Transferring to UIUC Business

Hey, I'm currently a freshman at Illinois State University. I really want to transfer to UIUC for Business, but I believe my stats from HS will kill me. This semester, I received a 4.0 with 14 hours, and took 6 over the summer at a CC. So they will have 20 hours of college to review, and I would transfer in with 40 hours (not including next summer). I will have taken all the prerequisite classes by the end of next semester. I wrote strong essays, had a lot of extra curricular activities, and volunteer work. I also sent in 3 letters of recommendation. Now, my ACT was a 25 composite and a 3.0 HS gpa. Chance me... P.S. I wrote about how I am now a changed student and how my new college grades can prove it. Thank you.

idk i guess its possible. i know of some people who got denied, not deferred, with 31act 3.6 gpa so idk. im not to sure about the requirements and policies for transfers

I think you’re in the same situation as me…
I also want to transfer to UIUC
I guess if you try to be as sincere as you can then maybe the review committee will believe you… You may want to retake your ACT…

Retake the ACT as a freshman in college? o.O

Yeah. I know it’s tiring but think about it. If you retake ACT, you get higher score, you might get a scholarship…

No, I was just wondering, can you even do that? Would it even be accepted?

Yeah you can retake the ACT as a college student. I had a college sophomore student in my room taking it.

it’s extremely difficult for non UIUC students to transfer into COB, but it’s doable if u have very good stats…ur gpa helps

bump .
