Transferring to UPENN

firstly, does upenn accept transfers for spring semester?...i'm a sophomore and i wasn't able to apply this fall......i'm wondering if i can apply this fall and if accepted, enroll there(at upenn) next spring)......but there's another problem.....

like i said,I'm a sophomore and unfortunately i wasn't able to apply this spring...i dont have enough on my resume and also, i just didn't have time to write the essays...i plan on doing that this summer....now here's the thing.....you have to complete two years of study at upenn......but i would obviously have finished my sophomore year and half of my junior year if i were to apply for tranfer this fall....i was thinking of withdrawing from school this fall(my junior year) so i still have sophomore status when i apply...then i can work, do research, pursue modeling in new york(etc.)... but i'm wondering, does the 'two year residency' rule mean you just have to finish half of the degree at upenn...or does it just mean you just have to take classes there for two years?......that is, can i complete my junior year here at penn state, go to upenn, finish my final year and then take classes/pursue a second major there for an extra year?.....

I would post these questions over on the Penn board, or better yet, call the school. Also, be aware that it is harder to get in as a transfer than as a freshman, you will need an impressive transcript and essays.

just a question why would you want to go to penn for engineering?
