transferring to USC with a 3.5 G.P.A what are the odds?

Hello everyone,

I'm extremely worried that I may not have a chance at attending USC in the fall 2010 because by the time I submit everything in February of 2010 to USC I will only have a 3.5... but what do you recommend for someone like me who has a fairly low G.P.A for USC?
***Problem!!- I have one D on my transcript, however my overall G.P.A is 3.5. I was thinking about taking an extra class in the winter at a local CC to bring up my GPA but by the time I get my grade for winter session the deadline to submit everything for USC will have passed already.

I have extra curricular activities: GrammyU Campus (Grammy University) Representative- Recording Academy for Cal State Northridge, Assistant Marketing Director for S.P.A.C.E (student production and campus entertainment) at CSUN and I'm on the Board of the Political Awareness Committee (CSUN) ... aside from that I'm apart of the NSCS (National Society of Collegiate Scholars).

Please give me some feedback please... !!!

I applied with a 3.8 gpa with three semesters under my belt. after my acceptance, i found out i got a c from my chemistry class in community college. i ended up transferring with a 3.64 gpa. seriously. I think, no KNOW, it just goes to show how powerful GOD is. Who would have thought i would be able to transfer in with that GPA? But, I did. God’s grace and God’s power. Try applying. you never know where it will take you.

There are a lot of factors they take into account. Is the 3.5 coming from a CC or 4yr? Usually lower GPA applicants are accepted from 4yrs. Were your lower grades from your first semester? USC likes to see students with upward grade trends.
