I've spoken with several pre-admission advisors both at UTD and at my CC, and I can never get a straight answer on this. How many credits can I transfer to UTD? I've heard 72, but I've also heard how many you'd like as long as you get 51 credits of upper-level courses at UTD. If it's the latter; I would just stay at my CC for another semester and complete all the pre-reqs needed for upper level courses. If not, I would need to transfer ASAP. Can anyone give me a straight answer? Also, what the hell is wrong with advisors?

I’m sorry you are getting conflicting advice, but no one here on CC is qualified to give you a “straight answer.” Each school sets their own policies regarding transfer credits, so it’s got to be someone in authority at UTD.

I suggest that you go back to the UTD admissions office and ask them again. Get the answer in writing this time, or ask them to tell you where the specific policy is referenced in their undergraduate bulletin/handbook. That will be the only answer that counts, and you can ignore everything else you “hear” from other sources.
