Transferring twice? Should I go to CC?

The university I am currently attending isn't a good fit to me, and I do not see myself coming back here next fall. My SATs were ~1500 and my highschool GPA was mediocre (C average).

I have a new work ethic, and would like a second chance. My GPA thus far in college has been a 4.0. So far I haven't had much luck when applying to schools for my sophmore year transfer. I was rejected by the school I really wanted to go to (Udel) as well as a few others, but was accepted by a school I am unsure about (Widener). There is no chance I would come back to the school I am attending next fall.

I could be in a rough (and expensive) predicament if I decide to attend Widener and find out I don't like it. Would it be smart to take a year at CC and then transfer, or would I be okay transferring yet again if I find I don't like my experience at Widener.

My poor high school grades have haunted me, and I would ultimately like to end up at a dream university even if it is only for 2 years.

I went from Roanoke College to Radford (currently at Radford). I am attending Virginia Tech in the fall. It just depends on what the university/college is looking for. I knew I was going to get into Tech b/c I met their Application requirements. They also had problems with getting enough transfer quota (they extended their deadline multiple times).

Awesome! Good luck at Virginia Tech. Was a good explanation needed when you applied?

I just filled out however many essays needed. I have a lot of ties to Tech (My brother goes there, so did my dad and uncle). I had friends of the family who knew the people in admissions kind of “vouch” for me. It’s really just on luck I think. I wasn’t even expecting to get into Tech this time. I got waitlisted as a freshman.
