Hi, I'm a rising junior(just finished my sophomore year) looking to transfer to a top 20 university in the spring. However, I am unsure of my major. I'm was originally intending to major in biology but have lately been considering to major something like finance/math/economics; I am also interested in another field, but I will not mention that field in my transfer application as it might complicate matters.

I am on track for biology, but relatively off track for finance/economics. I was also considering a math major, but am very off track for that. I can get a minor with ease, though.

Please help, what should I put as my major on my transcript application. I have really been leaning towards the business school lately getting a degree in economics. But I'm also interested in science. Should I put that I'm double majoring? I feel that some top schools would look at this in a negative light. Should I just choose one? If I choose something like economics will they be confused as to why I took so many science courses already?

I would like to double major, but that may be unrealistic. In addition, I'm worried that putting economics, which I don't have a lot of courses in, will confuse the admissions team and make me look like a bad candidate for admission? Thank you for reading and please tell me what you think. Thanks!

Also, would it be viable for me to just choose biology and switch to econ/double major in econ/bio at another school? Or would that be unallowed/ridiculous?
