Hey everyone I have been currently accepted to Baruch college and will start Spring 2015. I am transferring from LaGuardia Community College which is part of CUNY. I have been sent an email for orientation and was advised to bring my immunization records. I enrolled in LaGuardia a year ago and did a blood test to prove my immunization for them. Do I have to do it for Baruch again or does LAGCC has my record on file. Will Baruch be able to look it up? Anyone with similar experience or knowledge on the topic please advise!
That’s just a generic email. Your immunization records are on file if you’re a current CUNY student.
Hello, I don’t have an answer to your question but I have some for if you don’t mind. How many semesters were you at laguardia and what was your GPA when transferring to Baruch? I’m going to start at BCC next week and I’d like to transfer to Baruch ASAP. I’m majoring in accounting if that makes difference. Thanks for your time.
Generally speaking you need to have 24 college credits or more with a minimum 3.2-3.3 GPA to have a chance. It’s actually advised to complete your A.S (with a 3.3 GPA or higher of course) before you transfer, that way ALL your credits are guaranteed to transfer.
Thanks for the advice, I am not sure what I’m going to do yet but this information does change things quite a bit. Good luck in your life man.
Edit: Are those requirements for all senior CUNYs or only for Baruch?
Well… Pretty much for Baruch, Hunter and City College to some extent, as they are the “most competitive” of the CUNY bunch. The bit about getting your A.S first before transferring holds true for all CUNY colleges though. Good luck!
