Transferring without one major pre-req?

Ideally I’d like to transfer to University of Washington, UC Berkeley, or UC Santa Cruz as a chemistry major.

According to assist.org and the TAG program, UCSC requires chemistry majors to have completed a full year of general chemistry and calculus. By the time I transfer, I would have completed the full general chemistry and calculus sequence, one semester of organic chemistry, two semester of physics, and the minimum general ed UC transfer requirements.

On the other hand, UW and UCB both require UCSC’s requirements + a full year of physics and organic chem.

Will I be denied admission if I only have one semester of organic chem completed?
If so, do universities accept credit taken from the summer after you’ve already applied?

Thank you so much in advance!!

The UCSD transfer counselor said they do accept classes taken over the summer for credit. You can even take classes at a community college while enrolled at UC if you want to and it would count. Anybody can take lower division classes during summer session at UCSD too so you might be able to just take them at UCSC before your enrollment starts if they do the same thing.
