I'm going to attend Santa Fe College, and most likely start at intermediate algebra(maybe college algebra) since I have to take the CLM(Haven't touched math in a long time). My question is if I start at intermediate algebra will I be able to work my way into UF Computer Science transfer Requirement in the two years.

Thanks for your time

Computer Science requires Calculus 1, 2 and 3 - it is very dependent on how fast you can move through the sequence. If you are starting at Intermediate and need to walk your way through, then you would have MAC 1105, 1147, 2311, 2312, 2313 to go. If you are only doing one a semester then you would need 6 semesters to finish.

You need to take into account both the sequence of math classes, and your physics classes.

You have to take Calc 1 (MAC 2311), 2 (2312), 3(2313) and Differential Equations(MAP2302). The Prerequisite for Diff Equations is Calc 2(MAC2312). So, you can take Calc 3 the same semister you take Diff Eq. This leads to five semisters (1105, then 1147, then Calc1, then Calc 2, then Calc 3 and Diff Eq (taking both your final semister). You will need to take (likely Calc 1) over the summer to meet the requirements in 2 years.

You have to take Physics with Calc (1 and 2). The Prerequisite for PHY2048 (Physics 1) is Calc 2. Check with your CC to make sure you can take PHY2048, while you’re talking Calc 2. If so, you should be fine.

Eitherway, look into skiping 1105 and taking 1147, if possilbe.

Good Luck!
