I am not only looking at CMU but other schools also to transfer to. Anyways, I applied to CIT my senior year of high school and did not get accepted. Now that I am a freshmen in college, I have decided that engineering is really not what I am looking for, and I came to the interest of economics. I still want to consider engineering though, but not too sure if it's what I want as a major. The problem is that CMU only lets you apply to one school within their college as a transfer, and I'm not sure which one I should apply to, CIT or HS&S?

If you're still undecided about engineering and econ, applying to CMU is probably a bad idea. The requirements for the two majors are so different that if you changed your mind you'd have trouble completing the second major in time. You'd also have to transfer schools within CMU, which can be difficult. I would suggest looking into Rice, as they have strong engineering and econ programs and easy major-switching (except into music).

Transferring from CIT to HSS is pretty much guaranteed if you have above a 2.0. I'd recommend CIT.
