transferring

Hey guys.. this is somewhat related to UVa. But i have a dilemma. i have been a wahoo fan for such a long time and this year i was not offered off the waitlist. I was going to VT but then yesterday, i was accepted to UNC-CH off their waitlist. Lets say if i do choose UNC-CH, and i dont like it... would it be harder for me to transfer because i am now considered OOS? where as if i went to tech it would be easier? I know that they look at my high school records for 2nd year transfers but i did really good my high school years. Any suggestions?

Assuming you currently live in Virginia, your state residency won't change if you go to school in NC, so you'd still be considered in-state if you went to UNC and applied for transfer admissions into UVA.

you're not considered OOS until you declare residency in another state. So, keep with your parents ;) Do well next year at either school and you have a solid chance. Let us know which school you pick.

AHHH! thats a HUGE relief! wow thanks for the comments, they really do help! but i will let you guys know! im visiting UNC tomorrow so ill probably know sometime next week or something bc they extended my reply til july 9th! :)
