Transfer and i called the number, i live in costa mesa

just called right now. says the decision has been made but thats all it said?
its 240 am so i cant talk to someone. doesnt sound good if it didnt say i was accepted huh :(

I called today and was accepted. My major is Liberal Studies and it’s impacted. My GPA is 3.51 and I’m transferring from SFSU. Not a Long Beach area resident.
Good Luck to everyone! :]

Ugh this is so frustrating! I’m a history major transfer who has been accepted to sfsu, sdsu, and uci but csulb is my number one and I’m getting really nervous! A week ago the phone service said that I had no missing documents…and then today I called and said it’s missing one of my transcripts. I called directly to enrollment services and just wanted to confirm that she had received everything and she just kind of gave me a wish washy answer. I’m a local community college student with 70 units and a 3.4…wish me luck!

and congrats to everyone who has already heard back!

^ you’re telling me. According to an Enrollment Services representative, we will find out the first week of May. What are you going to do if you don’t find out before May 1st? Because thats the last day to submit and intent to register with SFSU? Whats your second choice?

I’m planning on going to sfsu just because it’ll be easier to transfer to another branch of my job. I’ll just give my intent may 1st at midnight and then withdraw it if I get into csulb…I know that sucks but what else can ya do you know?

just got waitlisted… guess im going to csuf!

^how did you find out you were waitlisted?

Okay, if they’re sending out notices the first week of May, and the housing application for priority consideration is due May 1st what are the rest of us supposed to do?

Or is May 1st for housing just for incoming freshmen?

no idea about the housing…my guess is it is just freshmen

Hey everyone,
after weeks of stressing, i just found out today on the hotline, “Congratulations you’ve been offered admission to the university”
i listenned to it twice to make sure, then i signed into mycsulb and it accepted it! finally. didnt think i would hear anything til may. thought i might be lucky to even be waitlisted.
stats:
Im a transfer
CSU GE certified with 60 credits
3.67 gpa
im an art major (animation/graphic design) which is impacted, but even with the budget and restricted enrollment, i got in!

i got into sfsu as well. but im sure im gonna go to long beach does anyone know which school has better art programs for graphics, etc.? csulb or sfsu?

Congrats! At what point in the system do they tell you the admission decision?

Definitely csulb has a better art program! The only upside to sfsu would probably be the location:) congrats!

Thanks iggykins and ladynick!

@ iggykins,
i found out april 16th, called the automated hotline…after putting in my pin number. was really surprised cuz i didnt think id hear anything til may. have you heard word yet from csulb?

@ladynick,
thanks for the info. im in sfsu visiting now, and its beautiful…as all of sf is. which is why im so torn, but i know csulb has a great art program, and is also close to internships etc. what is your major, ladynick? i hope you get word soon. tell us what happens

You like SFSU? it looked so ghetto to me…maybe I was biased cause I really don’t want to go there…

Does CSULB send notice via mail, or do you have to call the voice message system for status on your application?

bionicbunnie- i found out thru the automated phone recording… it said a admission desicion has been made… but it didnt say anything eles… so i talk to admission rep. and she said that i had been waitlisted…

[Welcome to Team TY KU - Age Verification Required](http://www.teamtyku.com)

@ Pscholler,
i think sfsu is gorgeous…not ghetto at all, but all parts of a city have their rough parts. csulb is a great campus, but it’s near some pretty ghetto areas too. idk, that’s just my opinion.

@8underpar,
csulb will let you know via mail, which may take a while. i was accepted this fri and still have not gotten an email or my letter yet. your best bet is to call the hotline and then talk to a real person. hope that helps.

@Artsyal: Like I said I might have been biased, I really want to go to UCSB but still pending. SFSU is just my safety.

@pscholler,

ucsb? right on i wish u best of luck. sfsu was my safety too…but i like both csulb and sfsu so i have a hard decision to make…
