Hey there.

I am a soph. transfer for Fall '11!
Anyway, I was wondering where the best dorm is for transfers. I would strongly dislike living w/ Freshman - I have no qualms with them, but I would rather be w/ Sophs./Juniors.

Any options?

Hey!
So Todd/Phibbs, Anderson/Langdon, Seward, and Reggester are the dorms that most freshmen get put into, and TP & AL are the biggest dorms on campus. Most of TP & AL are filled with frosh and these buildings have about 150-200 people. However, AL is the nicest dorm since it was just renovated last summer, so if you want a really nice dorm, I’d suggest going there even though there will be a lot of freshmen. On the other hand, I have a lot of upperclassmen friends that live in Smith, University, Harrington, and Schiff. Trimble is probably the best dorm overall and freshmen can’t live in there since it’s an upperclassmen dorm and suite style, but usually people have to sign up as a group to live in there to fill their suite. Out of Smith, University, Harrington, and Schiff, I’d recommend the first two if you want to be away from freshmen completely. A couple of frosh usually end up in Harrington and Schiff, but not Smith and University at all.

I’m also an RA for next year - so let me know if you have any other questions.

Oh and TP & Trimble have the best location on campus, if that made any difference to you at all haha
