ditto. wow i hope it comes Monday. im keeping my fingers crossed!

Did anyone else get transfer waitlisted? They want to see my spring semester grades, which I suppose is reasonable since I’ve only been at a four year college (VCU) for one semester. Anyone know background on the transfer waitlist and acceptance rate etc? I figured it also makes sense because my SAT scores from high school weren’t probably high enough and I know they don’t need to consider SAT scores if you have over 30 credit hours already at a school. Since I’ll have 30 credit hours after spring semester at VCU, maybe they won’t factor that in my decision anymore.

Other info: I got a 4.0 my first semester at VCU and probably looking at a 3.6-3.8 my spring semester at VCU
Also I do plan on staying on this wait list

Yah, I’m not expecting to hear anything good back. My grades from the Air Force Academy sucked. I have over a 3.0 cum from nvcc and I’ll finish this semester with a 3.7 or so. So I’m really just hopin to get waitlisted. We shall see.

I got in as well. I was surprised at the fact that they let me in after a 4.0 semester at NVCC. Waiting to hear back from VT and UVA.

Jmu has a very good rep with nova transfer students…

I still haven’t gotten my letter!!! what is the hold up?!

Don’t worry you will get it sooner. Mine was also dated April 2, but it all depends on where u live. My friend got his last Saturday, while I got mine monday. No matter what, they have already made a decision.

I finally got mine today :). I am OOS from Maryland so maybe thats why it took some time to get here. I will visit soon and talk some of the Professors in the CIS department. Based on my research It seems like JMU might have a better program in CIS than UMD-CP.

Did anyone hear anything about financial aid?

We didn’t apply for aid - so IDK.

uvahopeful2 - have you received your letter yet…?
